China aluminium extrusion output slumps as property weakness deepens, export boost fades
China's aluminium extrusion output has continued to trend lower, with the construction segment acting as a significant drag. According to Mysteel's sampled manufacturers, industry output sustained a decline from July to September 2026. Within this, construction aluminium extrusion output fell by a cumulative 21.2 per cent from early July to September, reflecting persistent weakness in traditional building demand. In contrast, industrial extrusion output declined by just 3.7 per cent over the same period, demonstrating relative resilience and providing a floor for total production.
