
Indonesia countered one of the world's worst coronavirus outbreaks due to the expeditious spread of the Delta variant, reporting around 1,000 deaths from the deadly virus each day in July 2021. Bank Indonesia, the central bank of the country held its key interest rate at a record low to cushion the economy amid a growing COVID-19 crisis.

Indonesia, a country that majorly exports crude petroleum and natural gas has imported 11,758 tonnes of aluminium tubes and pipes and the expenditure occurred for the import was accounted for $43.59 million.
In 2019, the import of aluminium tubes and pipes in Indonesia was recorded at 5530 tonnes and the foreign currency expended on the import counted to $22.22 million, whereas, in 2020 the import exhibited a surge by 12.62%, as the import volume escalated to 6228 tonnes, while the expenditures fell to $21.37 million.

The nation’s import of aluminium tubes and pipes in 2021 is analysed with a further growth by 10.64%, as the import volume is expected to upswing at 6891 tonnes and the expenditure to climb at $25.62 million.
The major trading destinations for Indonesia’s import of aluminium tubes and pipes are China, Hungary, India, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, etc.
