Haryana approves project incentives, boosts aluminium downstream sectors

On Tuesday, the Government of Haryana passed approval for several primary industrial projects and incentive packages under the Haryana Enterprise and Employment Policy (HEEP) 2020. It aims to reinforce manufacturing capacity, investment, as well as state-wide employment generation across multiple sectors, including aluminium packaging, automotive components, drones, and batteries. The decisions were made at the 19th review meeting of the Haryana Enterprises Promotion Board (HEPB).

The meeting was held in New Delhi and chaired by the Chief Minister of Haryana, Mr Nayab Saini. Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister, Rao Narbir Singh, was also present at the meeting.

Canpack India secured an incentive package amounting to INR 352.1 million (USD 4.2 million) for the expansion of its aluminium beverage can manufacturing operations in the Mewat district, reinforcing growing investments in India’s sustainable packaging sector.

In the automotive segment, Subros Limited received incentives worth INR 899.1 million (USD 10.7 million) for establishing an auto components facility in Kharkhoda, Sonipat, a project expected to create around 215 jobs. Jai Bharat Maruti Limited also received INR 437.6 million (USD 5.2 million) to support its expansion plans in the automobile industry.

Meanwhile, Mark Exhaust Systems Limited was granted INR 399.5 million (USD 4.8 million) for setting up an auto-components manufacturing unit in Jhajjar district, which is projected to generate employment for 123 people.

The state also extended support to emerging technology and aerospace manufacturing. AITMC Ventures Limited obtained an incentive package of INR 585.1 million (USD 7 million) for developing a drone and drone components manufacturing hub in Hisar district. The project is expected to strengthen Haryana’s defence and aerospace manufacturing base while creating employment opportunities for nearly 800 youths.

Further approvals included INR 430.5 million (USD 5.1 million) for BEUMER India Private Limited for the establishment of an advanced intralogistics systems manufacturing facility in the Jhajjar district. INR 316.8 million (USD 3.8 million) sanctioned for Abhiuday Print Industries Private Limited to expand advanced packaging material production.

Moreover, the board approved a revised incentive package of INR 1.58 billion (USD 18.8 million) for Kandhari Beverages Private Limited and granted a one-year extension to ATL Battery Technology (India) Private Limited for its lithium-ion battery manufacturing project in Nuh district.
