Canpack has partnered with Art of Packaging to encourage young designers, students and emerging creative talent to explore new possibilities in aluminium can design. CANPACK’s Russian operations transferred to external administrators, funds already donated
Image source: CANPACK Leading global manufacturer of sustainable packaging solutions, CANPACK Group, Inc., reported that its Russian operations have been placed under temporary external administration by presidential decree without giving prior notice or asking for consent and approval. Following the decree, the long-serving general manager of CANPACK’s Russian business has been removed and replaced by a new appointee selected by the external administrators. Russia takes control of local assets of aluminium packaging group Canpack
Russia has taken control of the local assets of Canpack, one of the world’s largest producers of aluminium containers. Under a decree signed by President Vladimir Putin, the assets were placed under “temporary external management,” with Russian company Stalelement appointed to oversee them, according to state news agency TASS. Canpack was founded in 1992 in Kraków and operates manufacturing plants across Asia, the Middle East, North and South America, and Europe. The company is part of US-based Giorgi Global Holdings.
