Canpack has partnered with Art of Packaging to encourage young designers, students and emerging creative talent to explore new possibilities in aluminium can design. The collaboration aims to position aluminium cans as a creative platform while helping designers understand how bold concepts can be translated into commercially viable packaging solutions.
{alcircleadd}Through the initiative, the two organisations will encourage participants to rethink conventional design limitations and develop ideas that combine creativity with real-world production requirements. Canpack said its expertise in eight-colour dry offset printing and decorative effects would help bridge the gap between creative ambition and execution, enabling more advanced and production-ready can designs.
“Partnering with Art of Packaging allows us to go beyond visibility and focus on impact,” said Michał Schilbach, Global Marketing Manager at canpack. This collaboration is an opportunity to showcase what’s possible when creativity is supported by the right technical expertise. It’s about helping designers think bigger – and showing how dry offset printing can bring their ideas to life beautifully and consistently on an aluminium can.”

The company said the partnership reflects its view that aluminium cans provide greater creative flexibility than is often assumed, particularly through dry offset printing technologies capable of delivering detailed graphics, rich colours and decorative effects at industrial scale.
“Great can design starts with ambition,” Michał Schilbach added. “When creative potential is understood and supported, even the most intricate concepts can be realised. That’s the mindset this partnership celebrates - and what canpack works to enable every day.”
Founded in 2006, the Art of Packaging Awards recognise innovation and creativity in packaging design and serve as a platform for showcasing packaging concepts and industry talent. The winner of the Aluminium Can Design award will be announced during the Art of Packaging Gala on 14 September 2026.
