Golkonda Aluminium Extrusions Limited saw its reported sales surge to INR 13.99 billion (USD 144.48 million) in the second quarter ended September 30, 2026, from INR 1.86 million (USD 19,208.92) a year earlier. The sharp rise in sales, however, did not translate into stronger profitability, with the company reporting a net loss of INR 0.321 million (USD 3,315.09) compared with net income of INR 0.471 million (USD 4,864.19) in Q2 2025.

The same contrast carried into the first six months of the financial year. Golkonda Aluminium reported sales of INR 13.99 billion (USD 144.50 million) for the six months ended September 30, compared with INR 3.64 million (USD 37,591.66) a year earlier, while net income fell to INR 0.643 million (USD 6,640.50) from INR 2.13 million (USD 21,997.31).

Sales surge, but Q2 moves into the red

Revenue for the quarter was also INR 13.99 billion (USD 144.48 million), compared with INR 1.86 million (USD 19,208.92) in the corresponding period a year earlier.

Despite the reported sales increase, Golkonda Aluminium ended the quarter with a net loss of INR 0.321 million (USD 3,315.09). A year earlier, the company had recorded net income of INR 0.471 million (USD 4,864.19).

The shift was also reflected in earnings per share. Basic loss per share from continuing operations stood at INR 0.06 (USD 0.00062), compared with basic earnings per share of INR 0.09 (USD 0.00093) a year earlier.

Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was likewise INR 0.06 (USD 0.00062), against diluted earnings per share of INR 0.09 (USD 0.00093) in Q2 2025.

The company did not provide an explanation for the significant change in sales in the results information.

Six-month picture shows weaker profitability

For the six months ended September 30, Golkonda Aluminium reported sales of INR 13.99 billion (USD 144.50 million), compared with INR 3.64 million (USD 37,591.66) in the same period a year earlier.

Revenue for the six-month period was likewise INR 13.99 billion (USD 144.50 million), compared with INR 3.64 million (USD 37,591.66) a year ago.

Net income, meanwhile, declined by about 69.8 per cent to INR 0.643 million (USD 6,640.50) from INR 2.13 million (USD 21,997.31) in the corresponding six-month period of 2025.

Basic earnings per share from continuing operations fell to INR 0.12 (USD 0.00124) from INR 0.40 (USD 0.00413), while diluted earnings per share also declined to INR 0.12 (USD 0.00124) from INR 0.40 (USD 0.00413).

The results therefore present a mixed picture for Golkonda Aluminium: reported sales were substantially higher than a year earlier, while both quarterly and six-month profitability weakened.
