Under the market forefront, on June 21, Hindalco depleted their aluminium rod prices and aluminium billet prices by INR 1,250 per tonne, while, active from June 22 Vedanta’s aluminium rod and billet prices recorded an INR 4,000 per tonne boom.

The Dorchester, England-based aluminium products manufacturer that was founded more than 50 years ago, was reported sold out for an undisclosed amount. The aluminium products-making company located on Poundbury Road is acquired by Shaftesbury-based Darren Taylor Holdings. Dorset Aluminium provides in-house manufacturing, metal spinning, and finishing services.

Hindalco Industries Limited revised its aluminium products and aluminium ingot prices this week, which as per the data has drifted lower after back-to-back cuts on June 17 and June 18. As of June 21, Hindalco has slashed its aluminium wire rod price by INR 1,250 per tonne or 0.52 per cent to INR 234,600 per tonne, following a plunge of INR 2,250 per tonne to INR 235,850 per tonne on June18.
Vedanta Limited finally increased its aluminium products and aluminium ingot prices after reducing them ceaselessly since June 11. With effect from Wednesday, June 22, Vedanta’s aluminium billet price has come in at INR 237,500 per tonne, up by INR 4,000 per tonne from INR 233,500 per tonne on May 18.
On Thursday, June 23, China’s aluminium billet inventories nosedived by 7,300 tonnes across three major consumption areas W-o-W to halt at 111,600 tonnes, from 118,900 tonnes a week before. Due to risk aversion following the recent aluminium ingot collateral controversy, certain billets were moved to different warehouses.

Australian small satellite developing company and IoT services provider Fleet Space approached Japan-based Konica Minolta to provide additive manufacturing units from 3D Systems, a Carolina-based technology company for the betterment of its onshore manufacturing ability. Konica Minolta 3D printers can manipulate aluminium for the precise design of products.
Etem Gestamp aluminium extrusions and Gestamp Etem Automotive Bulgaria S.A., both of them joined Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) as its new Industrial Users member. Etem Group and Gestamp Group have been working together to form a joint venture focusing on the extrusion and processing of aluminium profiles for the automobile sector since 2019. With this, both companies are planning to encourage the development of more sustainable aluminium industry in the future.
