Bua mataqalis to decide on use of $700,000

It will be up to the three Mataqalis in Bua on how they use the $700,000 given by the Chinese company, Aurum Exploration Limited for bauxite mining in the area.
Member of the three Mataqalis board of trustee and Commissioner Northern Inia Seruiratu said they have met but nothing has been planned to be done with the money.
Seruiratu said he just advised them on how the money could be used to generate more income now and in the future.
He added that the decision will still lie on Naicobo, Noro and Nalutu on how they will spend the money.
The three Mataqali will receive $18,000 in lease money every year for the next 20 years from Aurum Exploration who are mining in Bua.
