Over $700,000 for Bua landowners

More than $700,000 will soon be pumped into three Mataqali in Bua.
This is with regards to the new Bauxite mine in Nawailevu in Bua which is set to get underway later this year.
The three landowning units - Naicobo, Noro and Nalutu will then be paid $18,000 every year for the next 20 years.
Legal Advisor for the three Mataqali Amani Bale said that this money is the first payment.
The Principal Valuer for the Land Use unit, Filipe Rokovasa said the Mataqali in Bua will soon receive the lease money and they have opened up accounts for landowners.
