Xinfa Aurum Exploration Fiji awaits bauxite mining license
Xinfa Aurum Exploration Fiji, the bauxite mining company, plans to start working on a site in Bua once the government issues them a mining license.

Basilio Vanuaca , the mine manager said Mataqali Naita located in Votua village in Lekutu, Bua, have agreed to provide them land for mining around 500 metres from their current site loacted at Nawailevu.

He said the landowners after consultation agreed to the project citing growth in development opportunities.

He said they expected to extract 400,000 tonnes from this site which is also 500 metres away from the current site at Nawailevu.

Meanwhile, the bauxite mine loacted at Nawailevu, Bua, currently has a total of 200 skilled and unskilled workers.
