Kazakhstan‘s forecast reserves of bauxites estimated at 800 mln tons

The Committee of Geology and Subsurface Resources Management under Ministry of Industry & New Technologies estimates that forecast reserves of bauxites are 809 million tons.
"The forecast reserves of bauxites in Kazakhstan are estimated at 809 million tons. The reserves are mainly concentrated in the Turgai bauxite province - nearly 340 million tons," Chairman of the committee Bazarbai Nurabayev said.
In Bazarbai’s words, the high-quality P1 and P2 bauxite reserve located in Central-Turgai province are estimated at 506 mn tons.
Since the last ten years, Kazakhstan channeled above $14 million into the exploration of their bauxite deposits.
