The bauxite mine in Bua is expected to be commissioned next month.
The confirmation was made to the Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama after he met with the President of Xinfa Group Zhang Xueixin - the company that will undertake the mining project.
Xueixin also reconfirmed his invitation to Bainimarama to commission the project.
