New can stock (class) scrap receipts up 7.3% YOY during August 2016

According to Aluminum Association report, U.S. received a total of 62.1 million pounds of new can stock (class) scrap receipts during August 2016, which records an increase of 7.3 per cent over 57.8 million pounds in August 2015.

News

Month wise, class scrap receipts saw an increase of 7.0 per cent over a total of 58.0 million pounds in July 2016. Class scrap receipts from January to August 2016 totalled 468.9 million pounds, which recorded a 2.5 per cent increase over the 2015 YTD total of 457.4 million pounds.
