The Guinea coup leader turned interim President of the West African nation, with the authorities, after showing their intention to tidy out the financials of the former government, by establishing an Audit Committee that will be responsible for investigating the financial misconduct of the Alpha Condé regime, must also now scrutinize the Guinean mining cadastre. The strategic committee will officially review all the mining contracts signed under the Condé era.
The directory needs to review agreements targeted to the Bauxite mining, Nimba Project and Iron Sectors of Simandou blocks 1 and 2 where a company was backed by the son of Alpha Condé took over with fanfare.
The steadfastness of President Alpha Condé in the mining sector, sponsored by his close acquaintances had tainted the entire mining sector in favour of the Condé clan who had succeeded in taking this sector under control.
Following the establishment of the Audit Committee on the finances, Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya will have to do the review of the company contracts majorly the bauxite and the iron ore of the mining sector.
