Vedanta Limited further reduced its aluminium products and aluminium ingot prices, with effect from May 4, 2022, for the fifth consecutive time since April 23. According to the revised prices, Vedanta is currently selling its aluminium wire rod at INR 263,500-271,000 per tonne after cutting it by INR 10,500 per tonne or 3.8 per cent from INR 274,000-281,500 per tonne on April 30.
China’s domestic aluminium billet inventory was heightened by 22,700 tonnes or 21.45% W-o-W to stop at 128,600 tonnes, as of May 5, 2022. Because of the pandemic's ongoing interruption of consumption, downstream purchasers have become increasingly cautious. However, when aluminium prices fall below 20,000 tonnes, demand may increase. Hindalco Industries Limited’s aluminium products and aluminium ingot prices continued to see a plunge on May 5 for the fifth consecutive time since April 21, 2022. As per the latest price list revealed by the company, aluminium billets' price saw a cut of 3.2 per cent or INR 9,000 per tonne to come in at INR 271,850 per tonne. About a week ago, on April 30, Hindalco’s aluminium billets price stood at INR 280,850 per tonne, witnessing a downfall of 0.97 per cent from April 29.
