
According to the Shanghai Metals Market, aluminium alloys prices have closed the week on Friday, July 16, on a positive note across China. Aluminium alloy (A356) price has grown by RMB 150 per tonne to touch the mark of RMB 20,000 per tonne. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 19,950 per tonne and RMB 20,050 per tonne.

Aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have surged by RMB 200 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,700 per tonne and 19,700 per tonne, respectively. Their average prices are likely to range between RMB 18,600-18,800 per tonne and RMB 19,600-19,800 per tonne, respectively.
A00 aluminium ingot price has also extended its hike by RMB 130 per tonne to close the week at RMB 19,410 per tonne on July 16. The average prices are estimated to range between RMB 19,390 per tonne and RMB 19,430 per tonne, with spot contract likely to be traded at a premium price of RMB 80-40 per tonne.

Linyi has seen the highest growth of RMB 180 per tonne to RMB 19,410 per tonne, followed by the increase of RMB 175 per tonne in Chongqing and Shenyang to stand at RMB 19,405 per tonne and RMB 19,370 per tonne, respectively. In Wuxi, primary aluminium ingot price has grown by RMB 170 per tonne to RMB 19,450 per tonne, while the price in Gongyi and Hangzhou has hiked by RMB 160 per tonne to settle at RMB 19,290 per tonne and RMB 19,445 per tonne, respectively.
Among primary aluminium input costs, Australian alumina FOB price has gained US$ 15 per tonne to stand at US$ 300 per tonne on July 16, while the domestic alumina price has remained restrained at RMB 2,489 per tonne.
