Chinalco hopes to develop bauxite mines in Guinea

Aluminum Corp of China (Chinalco), the country's top aluminium
producer,hopes to develop bauxite mines in Guinea, the world's top exporter of the raw material.
Luo Jianchuan, a senior official at Chinalco and president of Chinalco's listed unit, Aluminum Corp of China Ltd (Chalco) discussed the matter with Guinean President Alpha Conde during his visit to Shanghai last Saturday, a report on Chinalco's website said.
Luo also said Chinalco was interested in developing the aluminium industry in the west African country.
Conde said Guinea was willing to enlarge co-operation with Chinalco in the development of resources.
