Notes:
There may be a difference when calculating the price with respect to
import volume, carbon price, and benchmark emissions, as the embedded
formula may result in minor variations due to decimal rounding.
Therefore, the actual value may vary.
CBAM is applicable to trade volumes starting from 50 metric tonnes. For trade volumes below 50 metric tonnes, CBAM does not apply.
Usage Procedure – How to use the CBAM Calculator Sheet
Enter or update values only in the
INPUT PARAMETERS section (Highlighted in blue) ,
including the carbon price, benchmark emissions, CBAM chargeable
percentage (as per the phase-in year), and imported quantity.
The system will automatically calculate the
payable emissions and the total CBAM cost (€)
based on the inputs provided.
Notes:
• Change any input value to automatically update CBAM cost.
• Formula used: Carbon price × payable emissions × quantity.
• Model aligned with CBAM supplier-side illustrative methodology.

Ball Corp. and Henkel Beauty Care introduce lighter aerosol can with 25% recyled aluminium
2MINS READ
Ball Corp. has been designing aluminium aerosol cans with recycled aluminium for Henkel Beauty Care for quite some time. Recently, Ball Corp. and Henkel Beauty Care have introduced an even lighter-weight version of ReAl, the aerosol can used for Henkel's Fa beauty care brand. Ball Corporation's technology has utilized recycled aluminum to create a metal alloy that is characterized by enhanced strength and extra light weight. Despite being lightweight, the companies claim that the can has not compromised on package quality and integrity.
Ball's ReAl was launched in 2014, to replace the standard aluminum aerosol can used for Henkel’s Fa beauty care brand. It included 25% recycled material and provided an 11% lighter package. The latest version contains almost the same amount of recycled material but, the package is now 15% lighter than the standard aluminum aerosol can. Ball is working continuously to manufacture cans in future which will be more lightweight than the current ones.
Henkel’s Fa is now the most lightweight commercially available can in the market for the 150- and 200-mL sized can segment. According to Ball, by utilizing the ReAl lightweight technology, they can reduce carbon footprint by an estimated 12%. This according to them can save the equivalent amount of greenhouse gases emitted by a vehicle driving around the earth more than a thousand times (based on estimated annual volumes supplied). Notwithstanding, the enhanced alloy strength, Ball has developed a can with an aesthetically deep shape that gives it a distinctive design and sets it apart from the masses.
