Autostructures UK, a long-running UK manufacturer of steel and aluminium components, has entered administration after 68 years in operation.

The Telford-based company appointed administrators in late March. It had a long-standing relationship with JCB, working with the company for around 30 years, supplying more than 22,000 chassis frames and contributing to the development of the world’s fastest tractor. The firm also worked on specialized wheel components for JCB’s Fastrac model, which reached speeds of 153.771 mph.

According to Companies House, the business was originally incorporated on March 10, 1958, under the name Alexander Socket Screws Limited.

A notice on the company’s website confirmed that Christopher Pole, Ryan Grant and Sam Birchall were appointed joint administrators of Moveero Ltd, the parent company, on March 25, 2026. The administrators are overseeing the company’s affairs, business and assets, and are authorized insolvency practitioners with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Moveero Ltd, which owns Autostructures UK, manufactures components for construction and agricultural equipment, including wheels, rims and hubs. While the UK arm has entered administration, administrators Interpath said the wider group continues to perform well, with operations in the US and Denmark unaffected.

The UK business, however, has been under pressure for some time, facing a weaker off-highway vehicle market, pricing pressure and increasing competition. Interpath said the move into administration is intended to protect creditors while allowing the business to continue trading as buyers are sought for its operations and assets. Staff are being retained during this period.

Moveero CEO David Geraghty said the company had been working over the past year to improve financial performance despite a difficult economic environment. He added that recent support from customers had provided additional time to explore options for the UK business.
