
Average alumina spot price in China has continued to increase by RMB 53 per tonne for the second consecutive day to come in at RMB 2,751 per tonne as of Wednesday, August 25, found the Shanghai Metals Market.

In Henan, the price has grown the highest by RMB 75 per tonne to stand at RMB 2,800 per tonne, followed by the rise of RMB 50 per tonne in Shanxi to settle at RMB 2,775 per tonne. In Guizhou and Guangxi, alumina price has grown by RMB 20 per tonne to come in at RMB 2,580 per tonne and RMB 2,550 per tonne, respectively, while the price in Shandong has remained restrained at RMB 2,710 per tonne.
A00 aluminium ingot price has also increased for the fourth day in a row to exceed RMB 20,500 per tonne. According to SMM, the price has surged by RMB 190 per tonne to stand at RMB 20,600 per tonne, with average prices expected to range between RMB 20,580 per tonne and RMB 20,620 per tonne. The spot contract is likely to be traded at a premium price of RMB 10-30 per tonne.

In Wuxi and Shenyang, A00 aluminium ingot price is standing at RMB 20,570 per tonne by gaining RMB 200 per tonne, while the price in Hangzhou has come in at RMB 20,580 per tonne by also building up RMB 200 per tonne. In Foshan and Tianjin, primary aluminium ingot price has climbed by RMB 190 per tonne to RMB 20,720 per tonne and RMB 20,530 per tonne and the price in Gongyi and Chongqing has increased by RMB 180 per tonne and RMB 170 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,450 per tonne and RMB 20,580 per tonne, respectively.
Aluminium alloys prices have surged by RMB 200 per tonne on August 25, bringing aluminium alloy (ADC12) price to RMB 20,150 per tonne, aluminium alloy (A356) price to RMB 21,200 per tonne, aluminium alloy (A380) price to RMB 21,350 per tonne, learned SMM.
