A00 aluminium ingot price in China records a hike of RMB290/t to RMB18800/t; Aluminium alloys (ADC12) price gains RMB50/t

A00 aluminium ingot price in China has increased by RMB 290 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,800 per tonne on Thursday, November 11, following a plunge of RMB 440 per tonne on the previous day. SMM data shows the average prices are expected to range between RMB 18,780 per tonne and RMB 18,820 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 120-80 per tonne.

In Hangzhou, A00 aluminium ingot price has climbed by RMB 520 per tonne to stand above RMB 19,000 per tonne, while the price in Wuxi has surged by RMB 500 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,990 per tonne on November 11. In Gongyi, the primary aluminium ingot price has increased by RMB 320 per tonne to come in at RMB 18,800 per tonne, followed by the hike of RMB 285 per tonne in Chongqing and Shenyang to RMB 18,850 per tonne and RMB 18,885 per tonne, respectively.

Aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have expanded by RMB 50 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,350 per tonne and RMB 21,550 per tonne, respectively. The average prices are estimated to range between RMB 20,250-20,450 per tonne and RMB 21,450-21,650per tonne.

But the price of aluminium alloy (A356) has remained muted at RMB 21,150 per tonne on November 11, found SMM.

Among primary aluminium input costs, alumina spot price in Lianyungang has plunged by RMB 70 per tonne to come in at RMB 3,680 per tonne, while the price in Guizhou and Guangxi has inched down by RMB 10 per tonne to close at RMB 3,740 per tonne and RMB 3,715 per tonne.

Among other input costs, the price of imported bauxite from Guinea has gained US$3 per tonne to clock at US$59.50 per tonne. The average prices are expected to range between US$58 per tonne and US$61 per tonne.

Aluminium powder price has also recorded a rise, albeit marginally, by RMB 0.30 per kg to stand at RMB 21.55 per kg on November 11, learned SMM. The average prices are likely to range between RMB 21.5 per kg and RMB 21.6 per kg.
