LME aluminium price settles higher at US$2554/t; SHFE price grows by RMB28/t to US$2951/t

Three-month LME aluminium opened at US$2,563.50 per tonne on November 10 and closed at US$2,548 per tonne, an increase of 0.62 per cent.

On Wednesday, November 10, LME aluminium cash (bid) price and LME official settlement price decreased by US$28 per tonne to settle at US$2,553 per tonne and US$2,554 per tonne, respectively. 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price stood at US$2,573 per tonne and US$2,575 per tonne, while December 22 bid price and December 22 offer price totalled US$2,545 per tonne and US$2,550 per tonne.

LME aluminium opening stock on November 10 came in at 991375 tonnes. Live warrants closed at 599925 tonnes, while cancelled warrants settled at 385700 tonnes.

LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price stood at US$2,576.61 per tonne on November 10.

SHFE Aluminium Price Trend

On Thursday, November 11, the benchmark aluminium price for SHFE rose by US$28 per tonne to close at US$2,951 per tonne.

The most-traded SHFE 2112 aluminium closed down 0.79 per cent or RMB 150 per tonne to RMB 18895 per tonne, with open interest up 1837 lots to 194232 lots.

Overnight, the most-traded SHFE 2112 aluminium contract opened at RMB 18,895 per tonne, and closed at RMB 18,845 per tonne, up RMB 75 per tonne or 0.4 per cent.
