Among aluminium products prices, the company’s aluminium wire rod price has come in at INR 231,500- 239,000 per tonne, while aluminium billets price is standing at INR 232,000 per tonne.

Like any other Indian aluminium producers, Vedanta Limited links its aluminium products and aluminium ingot prices to the three month futures of aluminium on the London Metal Exchange. On November 9, 2021, the LME aluminium benchmark price grew for the second day in a row by US$51.50 per tonne to come in at US$2,582 per tonne. On a month-on-month calculation, the price stood nearly 11 per cent lower than US$2,902 per tonne.

Vedanta’s aluminium business typically accounts for one-third of the company’s consolidated sales. Vedanta has a stake in Bharat Aluminium Co Ltd and smelters at Jharsuguda in Odisha. It commands a 40% share in India's primary aluminium market.
