
Vedanta Limited has increased its aluminium ingot and aluminium products prices for the third day in a row, with effect from Tuesday, February 9. Aluminium ingot price has been raised by INR 1,250 per tonne from INR 169,250-182,250 per tonne on February 6 to INR 170,500-183,500 per tonne on February 9.

Vedanta is currently selling its aluminium wire rod at INR 178,000-185,500 per tonne, up by INR 1,250 per tonne from INR 176,750-184,250 per tonne last Saturday. The company’s aluminium billets price has come in at INR 178,500 per tonne compared to INR 177,250 per tonne on February 6.
Vedanta Limited links its aluminium ingot and aluminium products prices to the three-month futures of aluminium on the London Metal Exchange, which during February 5-8 increased incessantly to reach at US$ 2025.50 per tonne. On a year-on-year basis, the three-month futures of aluminium on LME are currently up by US$ 332 per tonne or 19.60 per cent.
Vedanta’s aluminium business typically accounts for one-third of the company’s consolidated sales. Vedanta has a stake in Bharat Aluminium Co Ltd and smelters at Jharsuguda in Odisha. It commands a 40% share in India's primary aluminium market.
