
The United States aluminium crude metal and alloys exports to Mexico started the year in January 2021 with a marginal rise of 200 tonnes month-on-month to 8,470 tonnes, found the US Geological Survey data. In December 2020, the US aluminium crude metal and alloys exports to Mexico stood at 8,270 tonnes, down by 2,030 tonnes or 19.71 per cent from 10,300 tonnes in November 2020.

On a year-on-year calculation, the United States aluminium crude metal and alloys exports to Mexico stood 2,560 tonnes or 43.32 per cent higher than 5,910 tonnes.
In January 2021, the United States total aluminium crude metal and alloys exports amounted to 15,700 tonnes, up by 1,300 tonnes or 9.03 per cent from 14,400 tonnes in December 2020. On year-on-year basis, however, the exports stood down by 900 tonnes or 5.42 per cent from 16,600 tonnes.
The United States total aluminium exports (including aluminium flat rolled products and scrap) in January 2021 came in at 224,000 tonnes, flat month-on-month and down by 3.03 per cent from 231,000 tonnes on year.
