Two red mud technical standards by the Guangxi Branch of Chalco receive national recognition

On Tuesday, December 3, two technical standards related to red mud road construction were officially published on the National Group Standard Information Platform. The two technical standards developed by the Guangxi Branch of Chalco included Technical Specifications for the Production and Application of Red Mud-based Lightweight Soil and Red Mud-based Cementing Material.

The Technical Specification for Production and Application of Red Mud-based Lightweight Soil outlines essential aspects such as -

• acceptance criteria

This standard applies to various construction and municipal engineering projects requiring load reduction, work on narrow spaces, limited land acquisition, vertical construction, or specific filling needs. It offers comprehensive technical guidance and standardised procedures for using red mud-based lightweight soil across these applications.

The Red Mud-based Cementitious Materials standard defines: -
