Trivium Packaging Brazil received the recognition for its aerosol can developed for Adidas by Coty Global. The design was noted for its strong retail presence, presenting a contemporary visual identity that reflects the distinctive character of the Adidas brand.

From a design perspective, the can blends nostalgic influences with a refined, modern finish while keeping key product information clearly legible. Its appearance combines retro-inspired artwork with modern design elements, resulting in a striking and distinctive look. A pattern of small dots subtly softens the background and introduces visual depth, while a specially formulated ink allows metallic colours to merge smoothly without imperfections. Each variant of the packaging captures the brand’s energetic image and remains highly visible on store shelves.

In addition to its visual qualities, the packaging incorporates several technical improvements. Trivium redesigned and standardised the can format, achieving a 25 per cent reduction in weight. The container is produced using the company’s proprietary advanced aluminium alloy, manufactured through a process that removes the need for conventional ingot fusion. This approach cuts carbon emissions by more than half while preserving the required levels of strength and performance.

Environmental considerations were reduced by 50 per cent, as addressed in the internal coating. This adjustment will help in a significant decrease in both carbon dioxide and volatile organic compound emissions. The final package will not only lower environmental impact, but will also offer a balance of reduced weight, practical functionality and strong visual appeal.

Winners of the World Aluminium Aerosol Can Awards 2025 were chosen by an international panel of trade journalists representing leading publications in the can-making and packaging sectors. The recognition further highlights Trivium’s strong position and continued progress within the global aluminium packaging industry.
