Trivium Packaging has bagged a WorldStar Global Packaging Award 2026 from the World Packaging Organisation (WPO), taking top honours in the Labelling and Decorations category for its Budweiser NFL Aluminium Bottle.
{alcircleadd}The 330ml bottle was produced for Budweiser in Brazil to celebrate the brand’s sponsorship of the first NFL game to be staged in São Paulo. Its design references the meeting between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers, with artwork created to mark the occasion and appeal to supporters as a limited-edition collectible.
To achieve the final look, Trivium used advanced aluminium forming and printing techniques. The container allows for detailed, multi-colour graphics in high resolution, finished with varnish and enamel to give added depth and durability. The result is a bottle intended to stand out both on the shelf and in fans’ collections.

Design work also focused on practicality. To improve grip and comfort in the hand, the neck height and profile were adjusted, while the 330ml capacity was chosen for single-serve consumption straight from the bottle. This format reduces the need for additional packaging or glassware and offers a straightforward drinking experience.
Sustainability considerations formed part of the brief. Production took place at a site powered by zero-emissions electricity and certified to ISO 50001 for energy management and ISO 14001 for environmental management. Made from an advanced aluminium alloy, the bottle is up to 80 per cent lighter than a comparable glass alternative, helping to cut material use and associated carbon emissions. Aluminium can also be recycled repeatedly without loss of quality, supporting circular economy goals.
Entries for the WorldStar Awards are evaluated by experienced packaging specialists representing countries affiliated with the World Packaging Organisation (WPO). The awards honour designs that demonstrate strong functionality, attract consumer interest, and reflect responsible environmental practices.
