Suriname earthmoving company eying investment in bauxite sectors

A meeting took place between Earthmoving Company LUNA N.V. executives of Suriname and the Natural Resources and the Environment Minister Robert Persaud to discuss about the business potentials within the gold mining and bauxite sectors.
A press-release from the Ministry of Natural Resources said that during the meeting, the company showed keen interest in establishing a facility in Guyana that will to offer supplies and services to both the bauxite and gold mining sectors.
EARTHMOVING COMPANY LUNA N.V is the leading contractor for the transportation of bauxite from remainder mines to stockpiles in Coermotibo and the nearby areas. Besides transportation activities EARTHMOVING COMPANY LUNA N.V. also perform works such as rehabilitation, stripping and boulder transportation. The company also said that their new technologies are appropriate to Guyana’s conditions and those will be offered, particularly in the area of bauxite mining, rehabilitation and road building.
The Company also talked to a number of local businesses to share their expertise and develop partnerships, the release further added.
