Recycled aluminium sees a drop in 2013

Last year, Green Force, the environmental and recycling company made a collection of 266.175 aluminum cans, and that is less compared to last year. In 2012 they collected around 390.000 cans.
According to the owner, Mr. Timo Brouwer, there are various reasons why customers are not recycling anymore. “One of the reasons could be that companies want to put on a green jacket without putting forth any effort.”
Improvements have been seen in the area of recycling plastic. Last year the collection was 44.000 kilos while 25.000 kilos was the collection for 2012. It was quite similar for plastic bottles. In 2012, the number of recycled bottles were 288.444 bottles. In 2013 it rose to 688.482 plastic bottles.
