
According to Aluminum Association report, U.S. received a total of 53.1 million pounds of new can stock (class) scrap receipts during October 2016, which records a drop of 8 per cent over 57.7 million pounds in October 2015.
Month wise, class scrap receipts saw a drop of 5.4 per cent over a total of 56.2 million pounds in September 2016.

Class scrap receipts from January to October 2016 totalled 578.2 million pounds, which recorded a slight increase over the 2015 YTD total of 574.1 million pounds.
Exports including scrap which accounted for roughly 45.5% of reported aluminium exports in September totalled 580 million pounds, up 13% YOY. Exports of scrap decreased 10% YOY.
