LME aluminium opened at US$2,248 per tonne on Thursday, then reached its high at US$2248.5 per tonne and finally closed at US$2,222 per tonne, a decrease of US$32 per tonne or 1.42 per cent.
{alcircleadd}On September 21, the LME aluminium live price chart experienced decreasing aluminium rates, with the LME aluminium cash bid price and the LME aluminium official price slumping by US$35 per tonne or 1.59 per cent and US$35.50 per tonne or 1.61 per cent to officially close at US$2,166 per tonne and US$2,166.50 per tonne.
London Metal Exchange graph displayed that the 3-month bid price and the 3-month offer price have narrowed down by US$35 per tonne or 1.56 per cent to stop at US$2,211 per tonne and US$2,212 per tonne.
The December 24 bid price and the December 24 official price have dropped by US$31 per tonne or 1.3 per cent, settling at US$2,347 per tonne and US$2,352 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock recorded a downward shift of 2,600 tonnes or 0.53 per cent to finally settle at 483,550 tonnes. Live warrants stood at 231,150 tonnes, with a lump sum decline of 6,350 tonnes or 2.67 per cent. On the other hand, cancelled warrants accumulated 3,750 tonnes or 1.51 per cent to anchor at 252,400 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price halted at US$2,235.21 per tonne, up US$15.02 per tonne or 0.68 per cent.
SHFE aluminium price
Today, on September 22, the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) aluminium benchmark price has suffered a loss of US$6 per tonne or 0.22 per cent to settle at US$2,657 per tonne.
Overnight, the most-traded SHFE 2310 aluminium contract opened at RMB 19,350 per tonne, with its lowest and highest at RMB 19,280 per tonne and RMB 19,385 per tonne before closing at RMB 19,355 per tonne, down RMB 55 per tonne or 0.28% compared with the previous trading day.
SHFE 2307 aluminium added RMB 595 per tonne or 3.38 per cent to RMB 18,185 per tonne. The open interest fell 11,785 lots to 256,640 lots.
