LME aluminium opened at US$2,219.5 per tonne on Tuesday, with its high and low at US$2,225 per tonne and US$2,205 per tonne, respectively, before closing at US$2,215.5 per tonne, a decrease of US$1.5 per tonne or 0.07 per cent.
On Wednesday, September 20, LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price hiked by US$27 per tonne or 1.24 per cent and US$27.5 per tonne or 1.26 per cent to close at US$2,201 per tonne and US$2,202 per tonne.
The 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price grew by US$31 per tonne or 1.39 per cent and US$31.5 per tonne or 1.42 per cent to score at US$2,246 per tonne and US$2,247 per tonne. On the same day, the December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price ascended by US$26 per tonne or 1.10 per cent to peg at US$2,378 per tonne and US$2,383 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock closed at 486150 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants settled at 237500 tonnes and 248650 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price moved up by US$9.83 per tonne or 0.44 per cent to clock at US$2,220.19 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
Today, on September 21, the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) aluminium benchmark price has expanded by US$28 per tonne or 1.06 per cent to close at US$2,663 per tonne. Overnight, the most-traded SHFE 2310 aluminium contract opened at RMB 19,405 per tonne, with its lowest and highest at RMB 19,360 per tonne and RMB 19,465 per tonne before closing at RMB 19,415 per tonne, up RMB 105 per tonne or 0.54 per cent compared with the previous trading day.
