Inalum’s aluminium output stands at 161,217 tonnes in the first eight months of 2018

The state mining holding company Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Inalum) has released today, on September 12, its metals output and sales data for the period January-August 2018. Against the expected production of 248,426 tonnes in the entire year of 2018, the company’s output from January to August is standing at 161,217 tonnes, reported Reuters.

Out of the total aluminium production of 161,217 tonnes from January-August 2018, Inalum exported around 10,000 tonnes. The company's expected export amount of aluminium in 2018 is 40,000 tonnes in total.

The bauxite ore output by the company during January-August stood at 663,455 tonnes, against its expected production volume in the entire year at 1,169,722 tonnes.

The export sales of the ore were seen at 583,711 tonnes in the said period of time, while the expected volume in the whole year stands at 1.25 million tonnes.

Inalum with the headquarter in Indonesia can be recorded as a pioneer and the first company in the Southeast Asian nation dealing with an aluminium smelting industry with a huge investment of 411 billion yen. Starting from aluminium ingot to aluminium billet and alloy, the company produces all. Aluminium ingot of PT INALUM (Persero) has a weight of 22.7 kg per ingot with two types of product quality, i.e. 99.90% and 99.70%.

In the late August 2018, the company had also declared to build a modern office building in the Kuala Tanjung A-Camp Football Field. As per the plan, the building with eight floors and one ballroom will stand tall on a land area of 2.37 hectares, accommodating around 1,000 employees.
