Hindalco Industries Limited has further slashed its aluminium products price today. With effect from Thursday, 05 August 2021, aluminium billets and wire rods prices stand at INR 229,100 per tonne and INR 233,100 per tonne. This marks a drop of INR 2,000 per tonne from INR 231,100 per tonne and INR 235,100 per tonne on August 4.
Aluminium ingots price has come in at INR 222,000 per tonne on Thursday, 05 August 2021, marking a decline of INR 2,000 per tonne from INR 224,000 per tonne on August 4.
The Indian aluminium producers generally link prices of its products to the three-month futures of aluminium on London Metal Exchange. The aluminium price stood at US$ 2595.5 per tonne on August 3 from US$ 2635 per tonne on August 2.
Aluminium operations of the company, excluding those of its US arm Novelis Inc, generally account for nearly half of its total sales and 70% of its operating profit.
