
According to Shanghai Metals Market, stocks of 6063 aluminium billet across five major consumption areas in China registered a hike of 4,200 tonnes from the previous week to stand at 103,200 tonnes on Thursday, 05 August 2021. The stocks are expected to increase next week.
Aluminium billet outbound volume reduced by 7,100 tonnes to 46,100 tonnes last week due to less downstream purchases. The chart below indicates the current status of aluminium billet inventories across China in more details:
{alcircleadd}Huzhou saw a significant increase of 4,000 tonnes on the week, standing at 11,000 tonnes on Thursday, 05 August 2021. Inventories of aluminium billets in Wuxi and Changzhou climbed by 870 tonnes and 1,300 tonnes to stand at 17,280 tonnes and 10,700 tonnes on Thursday, from 16,410 tonnes and 9,400 tonnes on July 29.
But aluminium stocks decline in Foshan and Nanchang. The inventories stood at 46,000 tonnes and 18,200 tonnes on Thursday, 05 August 2021. That was down by 1,900 tonnes and 100 tonnes from 47,900 tonnes and 18,300 tonnes on July 29.
