Hindalco Industries Limited has raised its aluminium products price for the third time in a row. With effect from Tuesday, 15 June 2021, aluminium billets price and wire rods have come in at INR 219,100 per tonne and INR 223,100 per tonne, an increase of INR 1,500 per tonne from June 12’s price of INR 217,600 per tonne and INR 221,600 per tonne.
Aluminium ingots price has increased by INR 1,500 per tonne to INR 212,000 per tonne on Tuesday, 15 June 2021, from INR 210,500 per tonne on June 12.
The Indian aluminium producers generally link prices of its products to the three-month futures of aluminium on London Metal Exchange. The aluminium price on stood at US$ 2504 per tonne on Monday, June 14, up US$ 14 per tonne from US$ 2490 per tonne on June 11.
Aluminium operations of the company, excluding those of its US arm Novelis Inc, generally account for nearly half of its total sales and 70% of its operating profit.
