
Hindalco Industries Limited has raised its aluminium products price by more than 1%. With effect from Friday, 09 April 2021, aluminium billets price stands at INR 202,600 per tonne, a growth of 1.5% or INR 3,000 per tonne from INR 199,600 per tonne on April 8.

Aluminium ingot and wire rods prices stand at INR 195,500 per tonne and INR 206,600 per tonne as of Friday, 09 April 2021. This is up by INR 3,000 per tonne from INR 192,500 per tonne and INR 203,600 per tonne on April 8.
The Indian aluminium producers generally link prices of its products to the three-month futures of aluminium on London Metal Exchange. The aluminium price on LME has been increasing since October. The price has climbed nearly 14% in the October-December.
Aluminium operations of the company, excluding those of its US arm Novelis Inc, generally account for nearly half of its total sales and 70% of its operating profit.
