Hindalco Industries: Aluminium wire rods price inches up to INR 228,850/t

Hindalco Industries Limited has further hiked its aluminium products price. With effect from Friday, 15July 2021, aluminium billets and wire rods prices stand at INR 224,850 per tonne and INR 228,850 per tonne, an increase of INR 2,500 per tonne from INR 222,350 per tonne and INR 226,350 per tonne on July 14.

The company’s aluminium ingots price has come in at INR 217,750 per tonne on 15 July 2021, marking a growth of INR 2,500 per tonne from INR 215,250 per tonne on 14 July.

The Indian aluminium producers generally link prices of its products to the three-month futures of aluminium on London Metal Exchange. The aluminium price stood at US$ 2495 per tonne on July 15 from US$ 2509 per tonne on July 14.

Aluminium operations of the company, excluding those of its US arm Novelis Inc, generally account for nearly half of its total sales and 70% of its operating profit.
