Guinea’s CBG expects to increase its annual bauxite output
<p>Bauxites de Guin&eacute;e's (CBG), one of the&nbsp;largest producers of bauxite in the world, is planning to increase its annual production capacity of bauxite to 22.5 million tonnes in the future, reported by MiningSink.</p> <p><img style="vertical-align: middle; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" src="http://www.alcircle.com/uploads/images/1.8630583.jpg" alt="news" width="448" height="297" /></p> <p>CBG is a joint venture between the Guinean Government (49%) and Halco Mining (51%) also a joint venture between Dadco Mining and Rio Tinto Alcan. Currently, the company produces 14 million tons of bauxite per year.</p> <p>&nbsp;{googleAdsense}</p> <p>The Company exploits the world-class Sangar&eacute;di bauxite deposit in northwestern Guinea, recognized for its rich ore body containing more than 50 per cent alumina. &nbsp;</p> <p>In 2016, Fluor was awarded an engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) contract to expand company&rsquo;s bauxite mine in Kamsar, Guinea. The project will expand bauxite production upto 18.5 million tons per annum.</p>
