Dr Sanja Miskovic joins American Rare Earths to advance Halleck Creek processing

American Rare Earths has appointed Dr Sanja Miskovic as Chief Technical Advisor, with her work focused on process optimisation and recovery as the company advances the feasibility study for its Halleck Creek Rare Earths Project in Wyoming, USA.
Miskovic will work on flowsheet development, mineral beneficiation and hydrometallurgical recovery, as well as decisions around scaling up the processing technology. The work is aimed at supporting the planned production of separated rare earth oxides at the proposed Wyoming processing site.
American Rare Earths CEO Mark Wall said, "Sanja brings the technical depth and operating instinct we need as we move Halleck Creek through feasibility and toward construction.”
With more than 20 years of experience in minerals and process engineering, Miskovic covers areas of mineral beneficiation, chemical extraction, pyrometallurgical and thermal processing, and critical materials recovery. Her experience includes developing and scaling technologies from laboratory testing through pilot projects and industrial implementation.
She holds a PhD in Minerals Engineering from Virginia Tech and currently serves as Chief Technology Officer of Novex LLC, American Rare Earths’ downstream metallisation technology partner. She also holds an academic appointment at the University of British Columbia’s Norman B. Keevil Institute of Mining Engineering.
Wall further said, “Her focus on recovery and process optimisation directly supports our objective of producing separated rare earth oxides in Wyoming and feeding those oxides into a domestic metallization and magnet supply chain.”
Her appointment comes as American Rare Earths works to move Halleck Creek from resource development towards production. The company plans to produce separated rare earth oxides in Wyoming, which would then feed into downstream metallisation, alloying and permanent magnet production in the US.
Regarding her appointment, Miskovic said, “I look forward to working with the American Rare Earths team to advance a flowsheet that delivers separated rare earth oxides efficiently and reliably, and that supports the broader ambition of a fully integrated U.S. mine-to-magnet supply chain."
