Delhi people can now get freebies through “We-Convert” initiative by recycling aluminium cans
<p>A team of innovators from Delhi University started an initiative named &ldquo;We-Convert&rdquo; to promote sustainable future and help people to save the environment from being polluted through landfills. &ldquo;We-Convert&rdquo; aims at recycling aluminium cans, glass scraps and plastic bottles by dumping them into a vending machine.</p> <p><img style="vertical-align: middle; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" src="http://www.alcircle.com/uploads/images/Untitled-design-5-3.jpg" alt="news" width="517" height="226" /></p> <p>&ldquo;We-Convert&rdquo; ask people to drop their aluminium cans, glass scraps and plastic bottles into technologically smart e-collectors and in turn reward them with free vouchers for online shopping, free recharge for phone etc.</p> <p>Ashutosh Srivastava, Co-founder of We-Convert, said, &ldquo;Through We-Convert, we aim to empower the user to recycle plastic/PET bottles, aluminium cans, and glass scraps. The process is fairly simple, all one need to do is drop in the trash and follow few simple instructions on the machine.&rdquo;</p> <p>He further emphasised: &ldquo;The primary aim of our company is to promote the ideology of Swachh Bharat to work towards a sustainable future and to spread awareness about waste disposal and revolutionise the way people treat their waste.&rdquo;</p> <p>{googleAdsense}</p> <p>&ldquo;We- Convert&rdquo; has already achieved momentum in many parts of Delhi. The concept has garnered more than 5,000 users and more than 700 kg of waste have been recycled. &ldquo;We- Convert&rdquo; initiative is soon expected to start in Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru.</p> <p>The firm is tied up with&nbsp;The Guardian, Parth Das Sharma&rsquo;s recycling portal, The Kabadiwala.com, Synergy Sourcing, Rajasthan and HK Industries&nbsp;and some of the other big players in the recycling industry.</p>
