Chinese TBEA expresses plans to mobilise BHP Billiton’s left-over bauxite in Guinea

<p>Chinese power transformer and other equipment manufacturer TBEA has expressed intentions to exploit the bauxite mined and left behind by the global mining company BHB Billiton in Guinea.</p>

<p>A business delegation from China comprising TBEA executives met Guinea’s environment, waters and forestry minister Mrs. Aissatou BALDE this week and shared their plans.</p>
<p>The office of the Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Guinea published a report in this regard on their website.</p>

<p>TBEA plans to set up their base in Fria, Lower Guinea. The company would build a deepwater port and supplementary infrastructure for transporting bauxite from the region, the report said. </p>
