China’s A00 aluminium ingot price skids by RMB10/t to RMB18,350/t; Alumina price in Shanxi drops RMB5/t

The Shanghai Metal Market has recorded a decline of RMB 10 per tonne in the aluminium spot price, finally settling down at RMB 18,350 per tonne today, May 30. The average aluminium price trends are between RMB 18,330 per tonne and RMB 18,370 per tonne. The premium prices have hovered around RMB 110 or 70 per tonne.

According to SMM, the aluminium price chart flashed the highest rate on May 18 at RMB 18,600 per tonne and the lowest rate on May 12 at RMB 17,890 per tonne.

The eight main provinces in China more or less experienced uniformly decreasing aluminium prices today, falling by RMB 10 per tonne in Gongyi, Wuxi, Hangzhou, Shenyang, Tianjin and Linyi. The aluminium spot price in Gongyi has stopped at RMB 18,200 per tonne. In Wuxi, it has halted at RMB 18,330 per tonne; in Shenyang and Linyi, the prices have dropped to RMB 18,400 per tonne, while the prices in Hangzhou and Tianjin have dipped to RMB 18,350 per tonne.

Only in Foshan did the aluminium spot price slightly increase by RMB 20 per tonne, resting at RMB 18,370 per tonne. In Chongqing, there has been no recorded change in the aluminium price today, with it being stuck at RMB 18,360 per tonne, like yesterday.

The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has gained RMB 20 per tonne, officially closing at RMB 18,963 per tonne.

The high-purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) price have seen no noticeable alteration.

The average alumina spot price in China has lost RMB 1 per tonne, settling down at RMB 2,852 per tonne, while the price of alumina in Shanxi has released RMB 5 per tonne, resting at RMB 2,845 per tonne.
