SHFE price dips by US$5/t to US$2,575/t; LME aluminium is closed for Spring Bank Holiday
On Tuesday, May 30, the SHFE aluminium has lost US$5 per tonne or 0.19 per cent to close at US$2,575 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2307 aluminium contract opened at RMB 18,055 per tonne overnight, with its low and high at RMB 17,885 per tonne and RMB 18,065 per tonne before closing at RMB 18,070 per tonne, down RMB 140 per tonne or 0.77 per cent.
LME aluminium price
The LME market was closed on Monday, May 29, during Spring Bank Holiday and will resume trading on Tuesday, May 30.
However, on Friday, May 26, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price halted at US$2,241 per tonne and US$2,242 per tonne, rising by US$6 per tonne or 0.27 per cent.
3-month bid price and 3-month offer price were hiked by US$11.50 per tonne and US$12 per tonne to stand at US$2,237 per tonne and US$2,238 per tonne. December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price on the same day halted at US$2,400 per tonne and US$2,405 per tonne after recording a growth of US$10 per tonne or 0.42 per cent.
LME aluminium 3 month Asian Reference Price gained US$53.54 per tonne or 2.43 per cent to reside at US$2,259.70 per tonne.
