AL Circle mourns the demise of Mr Bhavani Shankar Pani

The Team AL Circle is deeply saddened by the demise of Mr Bhavani Shankar Pani, a member of Utkal Chamber of Commerce (UCC), and former DGM (Technical) of NALCO. He breathed his last on Saturday, at 11:20 PM, at HCG Oncology Hospital in Bengaluru.

Mr Pani, an aluminium expert, lived all his life with an inspiring zeal but succumbed to cancer in his last days. He is survived by his wife Susmita Pani and only son Gourav Pani.

With the ocean of knowledge on aluminium, Mr B.S. Pani’s contribution to the industry and AL Circle, in particular, is unmatched. He was associated with AL Circle as a Director Consultant from 2010-2014. He mentored the team in its initial days with the best of his experience and knowledge in the aluminum sector. 

Till today, we are following his teachings in shaping AL Circle into a holistic and informative platform for the aluminium value chain, aiming to serve the industry leaders, associates and enthusiasts with correct information, data, and insights.

It is a mournful yet delightful journey to remember Mr B.S. Pani and his tremendous hard work to give a distinctive shape to AL Circle. We believe not only us, but the entire fraternity of the aluminium industry has been benefitted by his knowledge. He was a Board of Director at ICSOBA, the International Committee for Study of Bauxite, Alumina & Aluminium, and also a well-known TV panelist.

His passion towards work and vision of life was a lesson to learn from. He used to believe in spreading knowledge as much as possible, and so we also found him as a professor at various campuses of the Indian Institutes of Technology.

Remembering him very dearly, Mr Kamal Prakash, the Director & Founder of AL Circle, said: “While Bhavani will live within us and continue inspiring, he will be deeply missed.”
