Neuman Aluminium’s Mexico expansion gets Jasper’s 40-tonne melting furnace

Neuman Aluminium has selected a 40-tonne aluminium melting furnace from industrial furnace supplier Jasper for Hirschvogel’s site in San Juan del Río, Mexico, to expand aluminium production at the facility. After Neuman’s melting furnace upgrade at its Marktl headquarters in Austria, the company is deepening its footprint in North America.
Neuman Aluminium recently partnered with Hirschvogel for the project. Construction has begun on two production halls, each spanning 7,500 square metres, with production scheduled to start at the beginning of 2028.

The furnace will be a tiltable 40-tonne melting furnace equipped with Jasper’s PulsReg technology. Its pulsed regenerative burner system can operate with gas, oil and coal dust and is designed for dusty furnace atmospheres.
The venture also marks an important step into the North American market, for it is the company’s first major project in North America.
“We are excited to bring our furnace technology, engineering expertise, and experience in aluminium melting to Mexico – and we are looking forward to a successful project and a strong partnership,” Jasper stated.
The new furnace will also support aluminium recycling at the site. Process scrap generated during forming can be remelted on site and returned to the material cycle, allowing the aluminium to be reused within the production process.
