China’s A00 aluminium ingot price plummets by RMB230/t; Alumina price in Shanxi gains RMB10/t

A00 aluminium ingot price has nosedived to RMB 18,800 per tonne, losing RMB 230 per tonne, as the Shanghai Metals Market recorded on Monday, November 28. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 18,780 per tonne and RMB 18,820 per tonne, with spot contracts trading at premium prices of RMB 100 per tonne and RMB 60 per tonne.

The provinces in China have witnessed plummeting prices today, with the aluminium price falling the highest in Chongqing by RMB 240 per tonne, closing at RMB 18,910 per tonne, followed by RMB 220 per tonne dip in Gongyi and Foshan to rest at RMB 18,750 per tonne and RMB 18,880 per tonne, respectively. In Linyi, the aluminium price has shrunk by RMB 210 per tonne, stopping at RMB 18,900 per tonne. The price of aluminium in Shenyang has lost RMB 190 per tonne, halting at RMB 18,770 per tonne, while in Tianjin, the aluminium price has slumped by RMB 180 per tonne, closing at RMB 18,850 per tonne. In the Chinese province of Hangzhou, the price of aluminium has plunged by RMB 65 per tonne to RMB 19,055 per tonne, and lastly, in Wuxi, it has lost RMB 55 per tonne, pegging at RMB 19,045 per tonne.

In China, the domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has de-escalated by RMB 222 per tonne to stand at RMB 19,481 per tonne on Monday, November 28.

The prices of high-purity aluminium (99.99%) and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) both have shed RMB 200 per tonne, halting at RMB 26,800 per tonne and RMB 27,800 per tonne, respectively.

The Guinea Bauxite CIF has lost US$1 per tonne to settle at US$70 per tonne today.

The averaged alumina price in China has gained RMB 6 per tonne, closing at RMB 2,797 per tonne, while the price of alumina in Shandong and Shanxi has heightened by RMB 10 per tonne each, settling down at RMB 2,735 per tonne and RMB 2,815 per tonne, respectively. The alumina price in Guizhou and Guangxi has also seen a rise of RMB 5 per tonne, halting at RMB 2,745 per tonne and RMB 2,705 per tonne on November 28.

The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has plunged by RMB 250 per tonne to stop at RMB 20,050 per tonne, with averages ranging between RMB 19,900 per tonne and RMB 20,200 per tonne. The prices of aluminium alloy (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) both have gone down by RMB 100 per tonne, resting at RMB 19,250 per tonne and RMB 20,250 per tonne, respectively.

The price of aluminium powder in China has slumped by RMB 0.20 per kg to close at RMB 20.40 per kg, with average prices hovering between RMB 20.30 per kg and RMB 20.50 per kg.
