Alba marks 50 million safe working hours as Deputy King reviews production and Dunkerque acquisition

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) reviewed its production operations and development projects during a visit by the Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who also welcomed the company’s recent acquisition of Aluminium Dunkerque, the largest aluminium smelter in the European Union. During the visit, His Royal Highness conveyed the greetings and appreciation of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Alba’s national workforce.

He reviewed the progress of operations across Alba’s production lines and the development projects currently being undertaken by the company. He also commended the company’s achievements, including the milestone of recording 50 million safe working hours.

He also commended the efforts and dedication of Alba’s national workforce in maintaining production, safeguarding Alba’s competitive position within the global industrial landscape and its continued contribution to international aluminium output amid the hostile geopolitical situation.

Alba focuses on production and workforce efforts

Royal Highness expressed his appreciation for Alba’s employees and their role in the continuous development of the company’s production, enhancing product quality and strengthening its global competitiveness.

He also met with the Chairman and members of Alba’s Board of Directors, as well as a number of the company’s national workforce, and commended their national efforts and dedication in fulfilling their duties and responsibilities amid various challenges.

The Deputy King stressed that the world-class standards of Bahrain’s industrial development were part of a decades-long vision, built on an ambition that recognised the development of the industrial sector as moving in lockstep with national economic progress and strengthening human capital.

Aluminium Dunkerque adds to Alba’s global expansion

Royal Highness welcomed Alba’s recent acquisition of Aluminium Dunkerque, noting that it supports the company’s ambitions to build a global low-carbon aluminium platform, strengthen its presence in global markets and enhance its capacity for sustainable growth.
