Bhoruka Extrusions: From Mysore factory to global aluminium-profile markets

Aluminium extrusion is a widely used manufacturing process that turns aluminium billets into precisely shaped profiles for buildings, vehicles, solar systems, electrical equipment and industrial machinery. Its relevance comes from aluminium’s low weight, corrosion resistance, conductivity and recyclability, while extrusion allows manufacturers to create complex sections for a specific use.

This makes extrusion relevant for uses such as electrical enclosures, transport components, solar structures and equipment where reducing weight or improving corrosion resistance is important. 

In India’s aluminium value chain, Bhoruka Extrusions Private Limited operates in this engineered-products segment. The Mysore-based company makes custom aluminium extrusion profiles and aluminium systems for building and construction projects, as well as industrial and original equipment manufacturer customers. It is part of Japan-based YKK AP. 

Aluminium profiles for multiple sectors

Bhoruka Extrusions produces made-to-order aluminium profiles rather than primary aluminium. The process begins with the design of a profile and an extrusion die, which determines the final cross-section of the product.

The company has an in-house die-manufacturing operation, supported by computer-aided design and CNC wire-cutting equipment. It makes both solid and hollow dies for architectural and industrial applications. 

Its aluminium extrusion products are used across building and construction, electrical and electronics equipment, transport, textiles and consumer durables. In construction, the company supplies profiles and systems for doors, windows, glazing and curtain walls. It also markets architectural systems under the IWIN brand.

Manufacturing base in Mysore

Bhoruka Extrusions manufactures from Mysuru, Karnataka, where it operates 1,100-tonne, 1,800-tonne and 2,750-tonne extrusion presses. The facility processes aluminium billets ranging from 152 millimetres to 228 millimetres in diameter and works with alloys including 6060, 6061, 6063, 6082 and 6101. 

The company identifies billet casting, extrusion, die tooling, anodising and powder coating as parts of its integrated manufacturing operations. 

YKK AP said in October 2025 that a new extrusion line at Bhoruka’s Mysuru factory was expected to raise annual aluminium-profile capacity from 12,000 tonnes to 14,000 tonnes. The factory site covers 64,742 square metres, according to YKK AP.

Indian base, international reach 

Bhoruka’s manufacturing operations are based in India, while its domestic commercial presence includes Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, Coimbatore and Kochi. The company also provides channels for export enquiries and describes itself as an aluminium extrusion supplier and exporter. 

Bhoruka does not publicly list all overseas markets served by its Mysore factory. However, its ownership by YKK AP gives it a connection to a global architectural-products group with operations in multiple countries and regions. That should not be interpreted as evidence that Bhoruka directly operates in every YKK AP market. 

Position in the aluminium value chain

Bhoruka Extrusions sits at the fabrication stage of the aluminium industry, converting metal into application-specific profiles rather than producing primary aluminium. Its market opportunity depends on demand from construction, infrastructure, transportation, manufacturing and renewable-energy sectors.

For customers, supplier selection in aluminium extrusions typically depends on profile accuracy, alloy availability, die-design capability, finishing quality, delivery reliability and the capacity to meet customised specifications. Bhoruka’s expansion at Mysore indicates that it is positioning for higher output in a market where engineered aluminium products are becoming increasingly important.
